On December 9, 2021, Second Street Gallery hosted a virtual artist talk with exhibiting artists Meesha Goldberg and Kori Price. The artists discussed their collaboration for the exhibition, Inside the Artist's Studio, which was on view in SSG's Main Gallery space from December 3, 2021 - January 21, 2022.

Meesha Goldberg is an artist and farmer living in a secluded valley on ancestral Monacan territory. She uses a variety of mediums including paint, ritual performance, and poetry, to speak to humanity’s belonging and responsibility to the Earth. Her experiences journeying through monocultures, standing on frontlines, and living off the land have all served as inspiration throughout her evolving work. Goldberg has exhibited in galleries across the country with solo shows in Portland, Los Angeles, and Seattle, and will have her next solo show Daughterland in April 2022 at Second Street Gallery in Charlottesville, VA. Kori Price is a photographer and writer based in Charlottesville, Virginia. Originally from Culpeper, Kori has been proud to call Central Virginia home for most of her life and is passionate about telling the stories of her community. Kori holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech and seeks to maintain a balance between her technical and creative interests with her work. She is also the host of the Charlottesville chapter of CreativeMornings and is a founding member of the Charlottesville Black Arts Collective. Kori is currently in-residence at New City Arts Initiative, working toward her first solo show at Welcome Gallery in January 2022. She has been a writer in-residence at McGuffey Arts Center and her work has been exhibited at New City Arts Initiative, The Bridge Progressive Arts Initiative, Studio IX, and McGuffey Arts Center.
