Second Street Gallery is pleased to present My Body is a Grave, a selection of works on paper and paintings dating from 2011-2017, by New York City artist Paul Brainard.

Curated by SSG's Executive Director & Chief Curator, Kristen Chiacchia, the exhibition consists of both large-scale graphite drawings and oil paintings, Brainard’s exhibition at Second Street Gallery will present the artist's vision of contemporary existence, one underscored by themes of mortality, virtual reality, and consumer culture.

The exhibition was on view in the Main Gallery from October 6 - November 17, 2017. An opening reception was held on Friday, October 6 from 5:30-7:30pm. The artist gave a brief artist talk in the gallery at 6:30pm.
