“Since sheltering in place, I’ve been examining medium format glass negatives I began collecting over twenty years ago. They are mostly late 19th, early 20th century, almost all taken outdoors because of the need for natural light. All are ‘photographer unknown’, who I consider my collaborator(s).
The visual positive/negative relates to the possible outcomes of COVID-19 tests. The glass itself resembles a glass slide where a test would be read in a lab. Forefront in all of our minds is that testing is crucial to slowing the spread of this virus.”
