I realized that we are, as a human race, absolutely helpless and fragile. This painting expresses the fear and waiting in silence. Fear of unprepared death, death of your loved ones, fear of economic collapse, fear of the unknown. But I used red because red is always the color of life, so there’s still hope in the waiting.”
