“What is my seat in all of this? Where would I like to sit? Among the weeds or flowers, in the shade or in the sun?”
“Our world is swirling with emotion, globally, nationally, in small communities, and in our microcosm family units. My own mind is no different. Within its internal boundary is a struggle with anxiety and depression. As much as I try to hide it to be strong for the kids, they have borne witness to my tears. So, I fabricated this little chair in sterling silver, bronze and copper mesh. Standing under two inches tall it can be moved about the house or garden finding nooks of contemplation, respite, and escape. What is my seat in all of this? Survival, assistance, and to love. This chair is my reminder. To hug my husband, son, daughter, and pets daily. To pour love on the ground we share. To send love out into the world….even if I can only whisper it some days.”
