April 19: Carol Barber

Prompt: create a work of art inspired by one of your favorite artists.

In June 2019, Second Street Gallery presented Lady Painters: Inspired by Joan Mitchell, its first exhibition honoring one of the principal figures of the second generation of Abstract Expressionism. The exhibition examined the lasting influence that Joan Mitchell has had on women artists who continue to work in the abstract expressionist style of painting.
